Progressive Scrap Day 1

Welcome to Progressive Scrap 2. Once again - come take your chance at winning a free kit! Also if you haven't gotten your LO in for the first one - you have until whenever I happen to get to choosing a winner on Monday Morning (LOL - probably not until after I get my DD to school - so like 9:30 ish) to get your layout uploaded, then just scroll down to the post and link to your LO!

So now for the new one! As some of you guys may have realized, on Sundays I take a break from designing (I don't let myself get distracted) and i scrap!! So each of these progressive scraps is based on a LO that I am doing. So your first step for this week....

Step 1: Choose 2-3 photos. These can either be different photos of the same person/thing - or one photo used multiple times.

Quick re-cap of rules

1. follow the steps and scrap a cute layout!
2. upload your layout to a gallery somewhere
3. put a link to your layouts in the comments of the last day.
4. use one of my kits for an extra entry!

For Tish, With Love

One of the things that I LOVE most about the people in this wonderful community of digi-scrapbookers is their love and generosity. We look out for each other and care for each other. When life hits one of our own - we all step up and soften the blow. An awesome member of our community named Tish (genius behind pixie mama designs) recently had her house burn down. And her friends have pitched in to put together an INCREDIBLE collab. Proceeds are going to help her as she tries to replace what can be replaced. This amazing kit is just HUGE - this preview totally does not do it justice. Click on the image to go snag it at Scrappity-Doo-Dah.

Progressive Scrap - Day 7 - Final Day!

Here we are on the final day!! Thanks for hanging out with me this week! To see the previous steps - scroll down, or click on the Progressive Scraps Label at the bottom of this post. When you have completed your layout - upload it to the gallery of your choice and leave a link to your LO in the comments of this post. You have until when ever I get up on Monday morning (LOL - probably 8am Mountain time) at which point I will pick a winner!! Remember that if you use one of my kits - you will have your name entered twice!

STEP 7: Add a title using at least 1 alpha. Add any finishing touches and you are done! Come back next week for another Progressive Scrap and another chance to win!!

Here's my layout done with "It's My Party" by me! :)

Progressive Scrap - Day 6

Almost done!! Be sure to check out the previous steps - and come back tomorrow for the final step!! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, if you are in the US - or a great day if not! :)

STEP 6: Using at least 1 ribbon, 3 flowers and 3 other elements, create a cluster (or a few clusters) around your main photo. Yes you can use more than this and yes using the same flower 3 times counts. You can also use flower substitutions (for example snowflakes in a snow kit or stackers in boy kits... you get the idea!)

Progressive Scrap - Day 5

Well if you have made it this far, your layout should be starting to come together! If you are just joining us - welcome and don't forget to scroll down for the rest of the steps!

STEP 5: An easy one today - select a couple of fasteners (brads, clips, buttons, stitches... etc) and use them to attach your large photo to the page.

Progressive Scrap - Day 4

Ok - if you are just finding this - be sure to scroll down for the other steps and play along for a chance to win a FREE kit!!

LOL - ok remember those picture I had you pick out in Step 1? Well now we are ready for them!

STEP 4: Choose one picture to be larger than the rest - place it on top of your stack. Using the remaining photos, create a photo strip (like a film strip or a strip of photos from a photo booth) Place this on your layout where ever you like.

To make this step a bit easier for you - I have made some frame shapes - all you have to do is clip a paper to these png shapes and put your pictures in the holes! Please note that these frame shapes are for Personal Use only!

**These have expired - Thanks for playing - and check out the next progressive scrap for a new freebie!** These will all be bundled up and put in my store evenutally :)

Sunday is Scrap Day!

Nibbles Skribbles has an awesome new set of Templates out - this LO is using one of them - the kit used is called "My Sweet Child" and it's a collab from the French Frog

I also got a bit lazy this Halloween (or I took too many pictures... but really, can you ever take too many pictures... I don't think so...) and so instead of scrapping all of them, I snagged an awesome set of QP's from Digi-Designs by Nicole. Here's a couple of them - and it was SOOO worth it! So easy and now I'm almost done!

Three of my favorite gals in the digi scrap world have teamed up for an awesome kit! Manda of Nibbles Skribbles, Steph of Scrappy Cocoa and Janice of JW Digi Scraps bring you "Along the Nile" Now this kit is great for non - Egypt themes also - but I had this post card from my Grandmother's trip to Egypt that I found and thought was perfect! You can snag this kit at The Studio!

Heehee - that's gonna do it for now - I meant to get more done, but my computer is moving as slow as molasses - so I'll have to let it rest for a bit before I play some more! Happy Scrapping!

Thanks! ...and the winner is....

When I thought about making a Thanksgiving kit this year - I didn't want to do a traditional kit. I wanted something a bit casual and fun - because that is how my family is. LOL - my hubby's idea of formal is putting on a tie! So this kit kinda ended up being a cross between retro and Thanksgiving - some more traditional elements along with some fun and funky elements and the bright fun colors make this an awesome kit for Thanksgiving or anytime! Be sure to sign up for the newsletter to get your freebie - I will be sending it out tomorrow - ish :P But for now -I'm going to bed! Check out the amazing things my CT did with it, and be sure to check out the QP pack you will be able to snag... probably also sometime tomorrow... :) Also look for the bits and pieces that go with it!

Grab it at Stuff to Scrap
Grab it at Digitals

And the winner of this kit - with the closest guess is Tanya! There were 35 and she guessed 34! Thanks for playing y'all and Tanya - please email me at flowerscrap@gmail.com to get your coupon code!

Scrapping for DSD

Well yesterday was kinda insane for us with family events and such - so I didn't get to spend as much time scrapping yesterday as I hoped - however I am looking to make up for it today. :) The cool part about all these challenges is that the Participation Prizes are all coordinating parts! So they can all be combined to make one huge winter themed kit!

This layout was for the use or lose challenge - so the stuff used is provided by Scraps by Andrea.

This layout is for the Quote challenge - which is an awesome quote and I just used a tiny bit of it. I used Butterflies and Blossoms by Nibbles Skribbles

This one is for the progressive scraplift. It's done with Harvest Moon by Melissa Bennett and Amanda Dykan
This one is for the Mix it up challenge and was done with the kit "The Storybook" by Miss Tiina.
LOL - well I've been really loving scrapping lately - so I'll have more stuff to show you later - but for now i'd better go! LOL enjoy! and happy iDSD
