What's keeping me busy!

Well - here he is. My handsome little boy! After a long exhausting day and a quick exhausting labor and no sleep, my 5th child and 2nd son arrived! At 8 lb 10 oz he is my biggest baby yet, but is already proving to be a sweet tempered baby who loves to sleep all day.... :) He's got soft fuzzy dark hair, dark blue eyes and the cutest little dimple on his left cheek!!! LOL - expect to see lots more of him in my scrapping :P

Scrappin' Sunday

It seems that between waiting for this baby to come and getting ready for the Designer Darling Competition at STS - that I haven't done much designing - but yesterday I actually got some work done on a new kit - plus I have a ton of new CU stuff that I just need to get packaged up and sent through quality check, so hopefully in a week or two I will have some time to get them finished and in the store.... :) I am going in to be induced on Tuesday, so but Tuesday night I will have a new baby - so think of me! And hopefully next Scrappin' Sunday will have new baby pictures! :)

This first LO is of my kids helping Daddy as he builds stuff for our new house, they love helping him! I used "Do It Yourself" by Connie Prince

This one was done with a huge birthday collab from the Studio by a large group of designers including my awesome CT boss Manda of Nibbles Skribbles called "It's My Birthday" This kit is a bit more grown up - but as you can see it totally works for younger kids too :)

Been keeping busy scrapping - With a baby coming by next week at the latest, I have been trying to catch up, and finish up with some stuff I have been needing to get done. Also - making a effort to not get too behind with the new year....

This first LO is using "Mister" by Mad Genius Designs and Nibbles Skribbles - and the cluster frame around the pic can be found as a freebie on Nibbles Skribbles Blog at some point - so keep checking her blog for awesome freebies!

This next one is using one of my favorite kits again - you have seen it here before - but it's another LO using "Imagination Creation" by Flergs and Stolen Moments Designs.

I did this LO using "There's A Party Going On" - which is the STS Birthday Collab.

This one uses "Puzzled" by me - my kids love puzzles (lol - well they come by it honestly, so do I) so I needed a puzzle kit - one that would work for both genders - and even if no one else uses this kit - I DO!! LOL - You can snag this kit HERE

For this LO, I used "Games We Play" by Scrappin' Serenity - which is an awesome kit for all you gamers (or wannabe gamers.) I also used a template from Adriana's Cafe - the template was part of a Template Challenge at STS awhile back - and I loved the template, but just didn't find time to use it.

Well the family has gone home, the decorations are down (mostly) and our routines are getting back to normal finally (at least as normal as they can get with me looking and feeling like a beached whale) I was able to do some scrapping this week and I am now looking despairingly at how far behind I am in finishing the photos from last year....

I started out trying to work my way through some of the Christmas photos and was glad to use this template from Designs by Snowlady (part of the January Template Challenge at STS) and an adorable kit from Digilicious Scraps and Nibbles Skribbles called Holiday Hootin'

After getting some Christmas scrapped, I finally got to some older pictures that I have been needing to get scrapped. I once again looked to the STS challenges to get my mojo going and found the COW challenge for this week which is a mash-up. I loved the way this LO turned out - especially for having 7 photos in it!! I used Spring is my Thing by Connie Prince

Finally I scrapped this one of my daughter and her legos - my kids LOVE legos and I found this awesome kit from Flergs and Stolen Moments Designs that I have used over and over and over again called Imagination Creation.

Nibbles Skribbles has a new and amazing collection out today. These gorgeous kits come in every color of the rainbow! They are beautiful and easy to work with.

This is a LO I did with the red bit and I just love how it came out - I'm looking forward to using this set again. Plus there is a beautiful set of clusters in every color.
I just took this pic yesterday and thought the green kit would be perfect for it! I altered the color in the photo a bit to make it match better, but I loved playing with the kit!

Well - I've been having fun doing the challenges at STS today - and I have some fun LO's that I've done for my CT bosses too! Check out my Scrappin' Sunday!!

These first two LO's were done for the Song Lyric Challenge. These lyrics provided TONS of inspiration for me, so I ended up doing 2 and still have ideas for more....

I did this LO for the Scraplift challenge at STS - I used a new kit from IBD Designs called Berry Bright. I was really needing a kit in these colors and theme to scrap our jam making pictures, and this was perfect! Tons of fun to scrap with and there is even a holiday add on that can turn it into a holiday kit!

Sigh... well - there will be others, but I think i need to get my tired self to bed!!!! Night People!

Well - we are moved into our new home and are slowly trying to unpack, adjust, and figure out why the sewage keeps backing up into our basement.... yep that's right. We finally got the internet up and running (just in time for me to miss most of the DSD fun) :( but I have had very little time to spend on the computer. I did manage to get this pic of my kids on Halloween scrapped. I used an awesome template from Scrappy Coca's set "Templation: Framed" The kit I used is my new Halloween kit "A Haunting" I managed to get the kit in the store before the move, but wasn't able to find any time to get it blogged! But you can snag this fun Halloween kit in my store!

Anyway - hopefully we will get this mess sorted out soon and I will be able to get back to my regularly scheduled life.....

Well awesome people - we have just closed on our house and will be spending the next couple days moving - what that means is that I won't have internet access for a few days or so.... Now normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but starting on Saturday, all the downloads on my site will not be working - I host my downloads on a personal server - and while we are moving it and getting internet set up the links will not work. We should be back up and running around next Wednesday.

I have been wanting to make this kit for awhile. My oldest daughter loves rollerskating. Her school does parties a couple times a year at a local rollerskating rink. She LOVES it! When I went with her I was amused to see that the decor of the rink was in the same style as the one I went to as a kid - bright neon 80's color and all! So this kit is dedicated to all those old roller rinks out there and the fond childhood memories they inspired. :) Skate City is available today - and I will announce the winner tomorrow, along with a freebie... sigh.... Well I've been having some fun scrapping pics of my cute kiddos. I also have re-organized the way I keep my templates - I look for templates based on the number of pictures I want to have in my LO - so I have been going through and re-arranging them by that system, so I have had lots of fun using templates this week :)

This LO was done using a template by Andrea Gold and the kit Summer Nights by Nibbles Skribbles - this kit is retiring soon - so grab it for cheap before it's gone forever!!

This one uses Book Talk by Pixie Mama Designs. I love the colors of this kit and the theme is books - but can be used for so much more!

This LO was done with "A Girl Thing" from Nibbles Skribbles, using a template from Angie Kovacs

This was done with Birthday Girl by me, using a template from Chrissy W.

This one was also done with Birthday Girl by me, and uses a template from Scrappy Cocoa

This one uses Lullaby and Goodnight by me. My two youngest are now sharing a room together - one side is blue with a blue covered bed, and the other side is pink - so this LO was spawned :)

So I had some pictures of my kids pretending to drive the car, and needed something to scrap the pictures with. I was browsing through the store and came across this kit. It was perfect. Fun enough that I can use it with my kids pictures, but not so kiddie that you can't use it for older drivers. The kit is easy to work with and has tons of fun elements. Well I had a ton of fun making this kit and I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I have. I pulled the colors for this kit straight from pictures I took this summer of my family out on the boat.
This kit was literally created as I scrapped pictures I had taken - when I wanted an elements or type of paper for a LO - I made it and threw it in the kit! I have already used this kit more times than any other kit I have made - and have many more plans for it!

Weekend Scrapping

I took quite a few pics over the last couple of weeks - but haven't had any time to scrap them - so after getting home today and playing with the family, I sat down to some much needed - mommy
scrapping time. Check out some of the fun LO's I did!

This one is using a new kit by Scrappy Cocoa called Birds of a Feather. This kit is beautiful! I love the colors and unique elements.

This one is using a kit called Retro Bowl from Manda Lane Scraps. Haha - I hadn't been bowling is SO LONG - but this kit is so fun and perfect for those fun trips down memory lane :)

These two were done with Scrap N Pieces part of the May Build-A-Kit - called Batter Up. I love how different these two layouts came out - even being from the same kit. In fact - I think the only thing i used on both LO's was the bead scatter - cuz I love bead scatters :P

This LO was done with a cute springy kit from Connie Prince called Spring is my Thing. Such a fun kit to play with!

LOL - not even close to done - but that is going to have to do for tonight! Nighty Night awesome peeps!

Gonna show off my weekend scrapping! :)

This one is using April Morning from Peppermint Creative. I struggled with this page - but i loved having the eggs big like that - i thought about doing a 2 pager, but I'm ok with this one.... :)
This was done with a kit that I have been eye-ing for awhile now! My First Haircut by Digi-Designs by Nicole has tons of fun hair do and hair cut elements for both boys and girls - perfect for so much more than first hair cut pics - My kids love to comb hair and Evie loves having her hair combed.

This was done with an awesome new kit from Scrapping Serenity called Games We Play - we are a family of gamers - so I know this kit will get tons of use - I already know I have more pics to use it with. A perfect kit for the little (or not so little) gamer in your life. :) I caught my cute little 18 month old playing with daddy's computer - and just had to snap a couple pics. Such a CUTIE!!!

Hook and Needle and a Freebie!

Haha - ok so I know it's been awhile - but the designer contest and hubby's traveling has left me with a lot less time these days.... :( I've spent the last 2 months making this kit and the last year or so thinking about making it. As a result, it ended up being HUGE - and I could have easily kept going.
I love to crochet - it is my portable craft project - i almost always have 2-3 projects going at any given time (I think I'm at 5 right now....) and I've usually got one of them in my purse. That, reading and scrapping take up all my 'extra' time (like I have a lot of it when I'm chasing 4 kids... but i try...) :) Well my kids having watched me to a lot of crocheting have expressed an interest in crocheting also. So I have taught my two oldest some bits of it. And they love it. It's so fun to watch them learning something I enjoy so much. Well as you can imagine - I take lots of pics of it. :) I've been wanting to do a kit that I could scrap those pictures with as well as pics of me and my obsession. So this kit is for all your yarn crafters out there and for all ages - with fun whimsical elements and beautiful colors - this kit is unique and versatile!

Ok - so I've really been having tons of fun with this kit (haha - even though it took over 2 months to make....) OK - so I got to scrapping today and realized that i was only a few layouts away from being done with 2009 (yes I know... I'm a bit behind....) anyway - with that realization - I decided to work on those pics.... and in the process - I looked for some snowy quick pages - and found this awesome set from Scrappin' Serenity! I am always looking for ones that can be easily altered for rectangle, and was excited to see these ones. I popped my pics in and added titles and dates and TA DA!!!!! So if you are still finding yourselves with snow pics - here's a quick and easy (and CUTE!) solution! Click the image to go snag these!

Here's just one of the QP's that I altered - and played with. I used Pioneer Woman's Vintage Photo Action on the pics and played with the color - the pics were HORRIBLE and blurry to begin with - but i really wanted to use them. :)

This kit is not just any ordinary kit; it is for an amazing cause and an amazing little guy that needs a family, a home, and someone to love and care for him. The Hartman family, are in the process of adopting the sweet boy below. They feel called to rescue this little boy "Brady" from a mental institution in Eastern Europe. Because he has Downs Syndrome, Brady was abandoned at birth, just like the majority of children with any sort of disabilities in Eastern Europe and other parts of the world. lt is standard procedure when these children turn between 4-6 years old (depending on region) that they are transferred from Orphanages to full blown Mental Institutions. This transfer is very traumatic, and many times these children suffer and sometimes die due to the conditions. Brady has already been transferred and The Hartmans are trying to get to him as quickly as possible. So I told this sweet family that I would ask the girls at "Stuff to Scrap" to Help!! The cost of this adoption is well between $20,000- $30,000 and so we just want to be able to contribute a little toward that huge amount. The amazing designers at "Stuff to Scrap" have put together an awesome collaboration that can be used to donate to this great cause. All proceeds from the sell of *Brady* goes directly to the Hartman's adoption fund.

Please consider helping in this amazing endeavor to BRING BRADY HOME!!

STEP 7 - Put a title on - use at least 1 alpha (well - just something more fancy than a plain font) and add any finishing touches - then upload to your favorite gallery and put a link in the comments for this post.

STEP 5 - Choose a frame and place it over the photo - not covering the edges of the photo mask - but just highlighting the important part of the picture.

STEP 4 - Now copy the mask and make it smaller and clip your photo to the smaller mask. Center your photo mask on the color mask and place them anywhere on your layout together.

If you can't use masks with your program - just make a shape of some sort (lol - get creative) and use the same instructions - just with the shape of your choice.

Ok - now it's time to start having a bit of fun! Hopefully today's step will put you a bit outside your comfort zone! Tomorrow should push you a bit further. STEP 3 - Choose one mask (you may use the ones I have provided or any other) Leave it large - and recolor it to match your layout (you can do this easily in photoshop by going to your style options and choosing color and selecting your color - or you can create an empty layer - fill it with the color of your choice and clip it to the mask - or you may use a plain paper,which would be an additional paper, and clip it to the mask.)

I'm baaaack!!! LOL - ok my holiday break is over and it's time to get back to work/play :) I've got a new progressive scrap for you this week - This one may challenge you a bit, so I hope you've come ready to scrap! Rules are the same as always - but in case you are new, here they are again!

Cookies for Santa - and Scrapping Time!

Yep - that's right - I've been scrapping! LOL - what better to do after the kids are in bed than scrap some of the pics I've taken this holiday season!! These first two are a two pager from our evening decorating Christmas cookies. They were done with "Cookies for Santa" by me - don't forget you can still get this kit at Hummie's World by completing the 6 challenges. But only a few days left!!
